Lawyer of Newsom’s brother-in-legislation offers new information on alleged domestic violence incident

(KRON/BCN) Joshua Irwin Schiller, Gov. Newsom’s brother-in-legislation, was arrested Wednesday night in Ross for alleged domestic violence, police officers mentioned.

Ross police officers responded shortly prior to 11 p.m. to a disturbance at a residence.

On speaking with the people and investigating the disturbance, responding officers established Schiller had allegedly committed an act of domestic violence against his spouse/cohabitant.

According to law enforcement, the sufferer had obvious injuries that were minor in nature and did not demand rapid medical therapy.

Schiller was arrested and booked at Marin County Jail on suspicion of inflicting corporal injuries on a husband or wife or cohabitant.

Schiller, 40 years aged, is a spouse at Boies Schiller Flexner law business, which is based in New York with workplaces in San Francisco.

Schiller’s law firm, Douglas Horngrad, instructed KRON4 he expects the situation to be dropped.

“I entirely be expecting the expenses to be dropped. This was a misunderstanding and both equally Mr. and Mrs. Schiller have manufactured very clear to me that he did not bodily harm her. There was no occasion of domestic violence.”

Schiller and his wife also place out a assertion expressing that the make a difference was amongst them and that they are hoping to go past this.

“This is a personal make any difference amongst us.  We appreciate and regard each other.  We are  partners and will go past this collectively.”
