BU legislation college graduate sworn in as US Legal professional for the Western District of Texas

(KWTX) – Ashley Chapman Hoff, a 1994 Baylor Regulation University graduate, has been sworn in as the U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Texas.

Her appointment by the U.S. District Courtroom for the Western District of Texas was successful on Sunday.

She’ll serve until a successor is appointed and sworn into business office.

“It is actually the honor of a life time to serve as the United States Lawyer for the Western District of Texas, and I am grateful to the court docket for the appointment. I accept and embrace the enormous accountability of this placement,” Hoff explained.

“I am privileged to operate along with the amazingly gifted and devoted females and adult men of this place of work, who give their all each day to secure the general public, protect the Structure, and symbolize the United States of America.”

The Western District incorporates 68 Texas counties and has staffed offices in Waco, Austin, Alpine, Del Rio, El Paso, Midland and San Antonio.

Hoff has been with the U.S. Attorney’s Business office for the Western District for 17 years and has served as to start with assistant U.S. attorney due to the fact 2018.

She started her authorized job as an assistant district attorney in Harris County from 1995 to 2000.
