Bruce Kirby, Columbo and L.A. Legislation Character Actor, Dies at 95
Bruce Kirby, a character actor best known for roles in Columbo and L.A. Legislation, died Sunday at the age of 95.

His son, John Kirby, shared the news in a lengthy tribute on Facebook, composing that his father “handed absent peacefully” at Cedars-Sinai medical center in Los Angeles.
“My heart is significant but grateful for all the extra blessed many years together,” John wrote. “My Move-Mother ROZ’s Enjoy & devotion was exceptional & a key pressure in keeping him alive so extended.”
Bruce played Sergeant George Kramer in the mystery sequence Columbo and experienced a recurring job as District Attorney Bruce Rogoff in legal drama L.A. Regulation in the 1980s and early ’90s.

All through his decades-extensive career as a character actor, he also manufactured appearances on I Desire of Jeannie, Night time Courtroom, The Golden Women, Punky Brewster and M*A*S*H, amid other individuals, right before his retirement in 2009.

In his tribute, John wrote of Bruce’s lifelong determination to acting and to exposing his two sons to the enjoyment marketplace from an early age.
Bruce’s other son, Bruno, was also an actor, recognised for his roles in When Harry Fulfilled Sally, The Godfather: Element II and Excellent Morning, Vietnam. He died in 2006 from problems connected to leukemia.

“Thank You Father for anything you taught me about Performing & how to have these a robust work ethic whilst sharing your enjoy for the Arts & the Craft of it all,” he included. “I will overlook You & Really like You constantly. I am happy you happen to be up there with Bruno and so a lot of of our loved kinds.”
In addition to John, Bruce is survived by his wife, Rosalyn.
