Government jobs are highly preferable jobs over private jobs in India. Bank Jobs: Bank jobs are the most common government jobs of which almost every person is aware. Every year many people retire from bank and this, create vacancies for many candidates at different positions. Like other departments banking sector also offer jobs according to the particular cadre. Like jobs in clerical cadre, specialist officers, probationary officers and even for Group D candidates which includes guard, sweeper, driver, peon, etc. All these jobs have different eligibility criteria. Each candidate has to submit the job application either as hard copy or online. After completion of this process, banks work on these applications and process examination call letters for the candidates applied. An aptitude test is held at different centers, which is further followed by declaration of results enlisting candidates selected on merit basis for interview.

As per many surveys conducted, more people go for government jobs rather than private jobs.
