Black regulation college students drive for improved variety at UBC law school

Nguinambaye, just one of a handful of Black regulation scholars among the roughly 600 college students in Allard’s software, wishes to make certain other Black students have access, opportunity and support to go after occupations in law.

The 27-yr-old is the co-president (with Dinah Holliday) of the Black Regulation Students’ Association at Allard, and this yr the duo — who make up fifty percent of Allard’s 4 Black legislation undergrads — is arranging the first Black Pre-Law Conference to invite Black undergraduate college students to contemplate law university.

In August 2020 the association, with help from UBC, held its initial absolutely free LSAT preparatory program for Black regulation college hopefuls. The program, which will operate semi-each year, attracted 40 participants.
